Wellswood

The Wellswood Plantation is a collaboration of owner and landscape architect to recreate a historic home site. The approach was to think of the design as layers in history. The design began by recreating the layout of a working plantation with gardens of the past, then adding new layers of reuse and modern elements. The resulting project pays tribute to the site’s history while adding details that respond to the owner’s business and love of technology.  LC-ASLA Honor Award
